Part -Time City Emergency Manager- Fire Fighter and Emergency Medical Technician

Responsible for controlling and extinguishing fires, protecting life and property, and equipment maintenance for the city of Saratoga Springs and adjacent communities.  Ensured the safety of fire personnel, public and patients at all times, and dealt with unforeseen circumstances with quick thinking and responses. Directed firefighting crews and wrote incident reports.

Responsible for all environmental, health, safety regulatory matters of the Parent Corporation and 5 manufacturing divisions, covering 1,000 employees. Oversaw team of 17 in safety division and three in Human Resources., administered and performed air and noise sampling strategies.  Performed active and passive air sampling according to NIOSH and OSHA sampling protocols, including Galian system and dragger direct reading instrumentation. 
 

Functioned as safety manager on various capital and non-capital projects, including: wastewater treatment system design and implementation, material lifting device installation, indoor air quality studies, and acid fume scrubber installation, incinerated sweeps processing and oversaw the design and installation of numerous source point ventilation systems for production operations.
